Investor's Business Daily - A new computer program is the first that can accurately estimate the exact shape of a fully clothed person from just pictures or videos, say Brown Univ. scientists. Their program eventually may be used by police to identify a suspect who was obscured by clothing. The program works by analyzing a person in different poses and making intelligent guesses based on its prior analysis of 2,400 body scans. Other applications may include helping clothing designers who want to market their items to people of all sizes, or aiding video game makers who want to create a 3-D representation of a player.

US space tourist remembers ‘a beautiful ballet’ (AFP)
